I wrote previously about how to set goals so that you’ll finally be able to keep those New Year’s resolutions. But, there’s one more thing you can do to help you achieve any goal you set. A visual reminder.
Having a visual reminder of your goal that you will see every day will help you keep that goal resent in your mind. Here are some great visual goal reminders:
If your goal contains a certain number (which it should if you read my last article), you can use two jars and some marbles to keep track of where you’re at in achieving your goal.
Seeing those marbles slowly go down the the pounds left jar and accumulate in the pounds lost jar is sure to keep you motivated.
If your goal includes a date or days of some sort (if not, you really need to read that last article of mine!), you can use a calendar to check off the days:
You can even leave yourself notes to remind yourself about your goal, like this:
Or maybe something a bit more humorous like this:
Finally, how about a good old fashioned vision board?
Two more ways to keep your goals fresh in your mind are to use Google Calendar to set a reminder and have it emailed to your inbox or set the background on your smart phone to an image with your goal typed out.
How do you remind yourself of your goals?
